Poorly bunny...

I put 1lb on this week, a little gutted as its my 1st week but I've had a chest infection and a throat so sore I couldn't speak. I tried hit sugar free squash but although it was lovely (hot apple is my new drink of choice!!) it just didn't give the relief I needed. Slimming world need to invent syn free throat sweets!!

I'm feeling a little better now, better enough not to be living on a diet of halls soothers, and have been back batch freezing. I have graduated to the smaller freezer bags and I gotta say - they are SOOOOOOO much better!! The 'medium' bags were HUGE and I ended up having to fold them over. Because they are so much bigger the food in them takes up so much more space! The little bags were a bit daunting at 1st - I didn't think I would get 2 portions in one but then I left out all the liquid and will add that when I'm cooking them. Makes the contents much smaller.

So, here is the size difference!!!

My freezer is PACKED at the moment and I still managed to squeeze 6 more slow cooker meals in there. The small bags rock!

I've been trying new recipes too, I love the campfire stew but it gets a little boring! So my new recipes are; beef goulash and beef soup. These are the ones I've made up - I have recipes for BBQ chicken and teriyaki chicken too. Just waitin for room in the freezer.

The goulash was YUMMY!!! I had enough for 3 lots of 2 portions so I cooked one in the oven while I prepped and froze the other 2. It was so delicious!!!

Here's the recipe:

I just copied and pasted it straight from one of these "7 freezer meals in 60 mins" pages that are all over Pinterest at the moment. I didn't add the sour cream to mine the other night and when I do I think I'm going to experiment with quark instead - I always have a tub of it hanging around.
