When I joined slimming world in March 2012 my main aim was to lose weight for my wedding in October 2013. On my wedding day I had lost 4 stone, my dress needed taking in 6 inches and I felt amazing.
Since the wedding (an all inclusive honeymoon, an overindulgent Christmas and a few months of not really focusing) I have gained just over 2 stone. I am finding it REALLY difficult to see past that huge gain at the moment. I feel like a failure and can’t help thinking that every pound I lose isn’t really a loss; it’s just undoing the ‘post wedding’ gain.
I am a firm believer that to lose weight you have to be in the right head space... these 28+lbs are not helping me do that. So I have decided to ‘unofficially’ start again.
I am going to reset my online weight loss progress graph on the SW website and draw a line in my weight log book and start counting again. May 1st is mentally a fresh start to my weight loss journey, tonight’s weigh in will be my new (unofficial) ‘starting weight’. (I am not going to wipe my total loss on the SW machine in group as I don’t want to lose my ‘overall progress’ since starting)
This week I am going to:
· Reread all my books as if I were a new member
· Do a FULL week of food diaries
· Set a mini target of 7lb on the SW machine
· Get back into cooking different things
· Stop making excuses!!!
I am looking forward to being back on plan and losing weight!
Because I think every post should have a picture... Here is one of my 'to do' recipes!! Sounds tasty!!
